Built From Fire

I didn't build Ink and Ember from a place of comfort. I built it from the middle of the storm.

Over the years, I've faced more than my share of battles — multiple eye surgeries that left me terrified I would never be able to write again, and most recently, losing my right big toe to infection. There were moments I was afraid my body was becoming a liability — at my job, in my craft, in my life. But I kept going. I kept writing. I kept creating.

Because here's what I've learned: we are all stronger than we know, and stronger than we give ourselves credit for.

When I write, I feel every emotion vividly — the fear, the grief, the stubborn, quiet hope. And I know I'm not alone in that. So many of us are carrying struggles in the shadows, fighting battles no one else can see. I started Ink and Ember to reach those people. To say: come out of the shadows. Release your spirit. Release your grace.

Every candle I hand-pour, every journal I design, every package I custom-craft — I do it with limited sight and one less toe, and I do it with everything I have. Not in spite of my struggles, but as proof that they don't define me. That you are not defined by yours.

This store is my story. And I hope it helps you write yours.
